Whole Stories believe in the importance of purpose-driven inclusive leadership. We believe that leaders exist to help an organisation best serve its clients and communities.
This means defining purpose and direction in collaborative ways that are informed by clients and communities; ensuring everyone understands their individual and collaborative role in delivering that purpose; that structures, policies and processes enable the purpose; and that everyone is included and supported to thrive.

Stress, burnout, loss of confidence, bureaucracy, lack of enjoyment, wasted time, team underperformance or dissatisfaction are all common challenges.
Being purpose-led is the first, usually overlooked, step in resolution. It begins with leaders being clear on what drives them and how it relates to why their role exists and its purpose in relation to the organisation. They can then re-focus with renewed clarity and energy.
This is as true for leadership teams as it is for individuals, and another common challenge is how leaders balance working individually and with shared purpose. Attempts to resolve with awaydays that lack tangible outcomes often have only short term effects and breed long term cynicism.
